Let me say this first. I have tried to be patience in dealing with this issue, but it really seems like that there is a lack of compassion in dealing with management, I usually don't write reviews unless it's necessary, and at this point, I feel like it's necessary. When I moved into my unit there were pest (roach) specifically issue. This was not even the original apartment I was supposed to move in. Actually a few days before I was to move in I was called and told that my apartment flooded and I would have to be moved into another apartment. My neighbor informed me after I moved in that this particular apartment someone was evicted and they had roaches really bad. However, the street that I live on and my unit has a huge roach issue. I am killing roaches all day long, left and right, I barely even cook in my kitchen because of this. I reported this to management, they said pest control would come out, but I saw no changes. Mind you, I keep my place clean, and I never had a roach issue until I moved here. I kept telling management, but they were nonchalant, like they didn't care. I have been here only 5 months, a few months later my neighbor left a NOTE on my door stating that SHE HAS bed bugs and she wanted me to know because her bed room is adjacent to my living room. Long story short I called leasing office after already informing them I had a pest issue, I emailed management they sent pest control out, it was verified I had bed bugs not only that my couch looked as if it had been eaten, so I had to throw my couch that I just purchased last year away. I then requested that I move into another unit or let me out of my lease with no fees or repercussion. I was told I could move into another unit once it was verified that the treatment worked. They came and checked yesterday there were no signs of bed bugs but management stated that I had to wait an additional 3 weeks for it to be checked again to make sure I'm in the clear. I asked could I be compensated for having to throw my furniture away, or rent deduction the answer was no they don't do that. As a manager nothing was offered to try to accommodate or even try to rectify the whole situation. I still have a ROACH issue. She stated that bed bugs could've came from me, but the young lady next store left a note stating that she had bed bugs, so they are trying to place blame on me, she stated they paid for the treatment as if they did it for me, that is their unit and I am a tenant! I don't own that place! I know my rental rights. Landlords are required to provide a habitable housing. There is no proof that I brought in anything, matter of fact, if there is a huge pest issue already at hand including the note, I don't believe that I did. However, I have called corporate no response yet, I will be calling again. I have no furniture, but one bed now because of this. Also, management does not care about the residents. I have to stay in an apartment that is not habitable for 3 more weeks (this is what they say) but God knows what if this changes. I will not be compensated for my furniture or anything else to rectify all of this. Also to management my response to you paid for the bed bug treatment
Thanks
My experience has had its ups and downs. But overall this is a nice complex, the staff is nice. Although i would not like to see anymore centipedes in my apartment, I’ve seen these since the day I moved here in April. My neighbors above me are very disruptive at times but when I need something looked at or fixed by maintenance, it is taken care of.
I have lived at this apartment complex for nearly 14 years do obviously my experience here has been a great one. I always feel secure with built in security system which speaks a lot. The new ownership has even made it more of a great place to live .
From my first phone call I was pleased with the kind professional manner. Since becoming a resident questions and concerns are dealt with quickly, and they don’t make you feel like a bother. I really appreciate Lakeisha and all the office staff, they are awesome!!
To be honest all in all I've had a magnificent experience living here. I have more than just a few words to say about the park at Forest Hill. Growing up my mother will live in mini Apartments and would travel a lot. She was and still is a fixer-upper if you will for apartment complexes. They would hire her to go into Apartments and manage them out of money holes. So I have experience with mini a bad Apartments. And I truly have nothing bad to say about ours. I wish all of the employees a very merry Christmas and a huge pat on the back for a very huge job well done.
